Clients will start seeing results within a week of treatment. After 1 or 2 months, clients should see rejuvenated skin that appears younger and feels softer and more supple. Results may remain from 1 to 2 years following treatment.
Downtime for Platelet Rich Plasma treatment varies depending on the area of treatment.
For areas such as the neck, under-eyes and chest, the skin may appear slightly red and blotchy for up to half-an-hour after injections with bruising being common.
Vampire facials can expect a 3 – 5 day period for downtime. Expect the face to be red and swollen for 24hours followed by a light shedding of the skin over the following days.
There is no downtime for hair rejuvenation.

As there is with any medical procedure, Platelet Rich Plasma treatment comes with some potential risks and side effects clients should consider before undergoing treatment.

These risks are extremely rare but worth noting:
- Infection
- Numbness
- Nerve damage
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours after treatment
- Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
- Avoid high temperatures like steam rooms, saunas, or heated exercise classes for 48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid makeup on the area for up to 24 hours after.
- Avoid blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, fish oil tablets and alcohol.
- Vampire facial: do not use active skincare ingredients on the skin for at least 5 days. Keep skin hydrated and clean with a mild cleanser and day/night moisturizer.
- Hair rejuvenation: do not wash hair for 24 hours, wear hats or heavy hair products.
To assist with bruising, Arnica tablets may be recommended.
Platelet Rich Plasma injections are superficial and have been similarly compared to mosquito bites.
