Busy schedules, intense training and travel can all make it harder to stay well hydrated. IV hydration therapy delivers fluids and selected nutrients directly into the bloodstream, and whether it’s appropriate for you is assessed at consultation.
For most people, drinking water is the appropriate way to stay hydrated. IV fluid therapy involves administering a sterile saline solution, which can be combined with selected vitamins, minerals or amino acids, through a small cannula. Because it enters the bloodstream directly, it bypasses the digestive tract, which can produce higher circulating levels than an equivalent oral dose.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Your needs vary with your lifestyle and circumstances, so our practitioners discuss your history and goals before recommending a protocol.

As with any intravenous procedure, there are risks to be aware of. The most common are bruising or discomfort at the cannula site and a cool sensation in the arm during the infusion. Less common risks include inflammation of the vein, fluid leaking into surrounding tissue, infection and allergic reaction. IV fluids are also not appropriate for everyone, including some people with heart or kidney conditions. Your practitioner will review this with you before treatment.
Yes. We recommend a light snack and staying hydrated beforehand, which also makes cannulation easier.
