As there is with any medical procedure, nasolabial filler comes with some potential risks and side effects clients should consider before undergoing treatment.

- Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area

- Avoid makeup on the area for up to 24 hours after.
- Avoid blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and fish oil tablets.
- To assist with bruising, Arnica tablets may be recommended.
