Collagen and elastin form the vital structural scaffolding of the human extracellular matrix, providing the skin with its natural tensile strength and elasticity. From the third decade of life, the structural activity of dermal fibroblasts naturally declines, a process influenced by environmental ultraviolet (UV) exposure, lifestyle factors, and biological shifts. This transition can manifest as a change in skin texture, a loss of natural firmness, and reduced cutaneous hydration.
At La Belle Clinic, patients’ clinical care and safety are our top priority. Because individual skin architecture and health needs vary drastically, therapeutic plans cannot be self-selected or administered without a rigorous diagnostic screening. Our consultation process is entirely dedicated to examining your baseline skin health, evaluating tissue compliance, and mapping out a safe, individualised clinical strategy aligned with your wellness goals.
During your private skin quality assessment, our clinical team focuses on the following structural metrics:
All medical skin management, dermal care, and structural tissue assessment plans at La Belle Clinic operate under a strict clinical governance framework. Australian health regulations mandate that an in-person or synchronous video consultation with an independent, Australian-registered medical practitioner must take place before any advanced clinical treatment plan can be approved or initiated.
All approved treatments will be administered in a sterile and professional environment by Registered Nurse Theresa Liu (AHPRA Registration: NMW0002280445). Credentials of the registered health practitioner can be checked at all times through the AHPRA register.
No dermal skin management procedure is entirely risk-free or completely painless. During the application process, you may experience a brief pinch, sting, or localised pressure sensation. Normal, expected side effects include temporary erythema (redness), small raised papules at the treatment points, mild swelling, and minor bruising. These symptoms generally resolve naturally within 24 to 72 hours.
Although very uncommon in an expert’s hand, especially within a strict aseptic environment, there still exist certain medical risks associated with the application of advanced clinical skin treatments. Some may experience delayed allergic reactions, secondary infections, tissue irregularity, as well as unintended blood vessel damage resulting in localised tissue impairment. We have all the necessary procedures in place should any unforeseen medical emergencies occur.
Since this treatment involves stimulating a slower, more natural process through the use of your own body cells to produce results, any effects noticed on skin tightness or hydration levels will develop slowly over a few weeks or months. Duration is completely personal, depending on how fast you age biologically, as well as your overall cellular metabolism and UV protection practices.
It must be noted that results are greatly variable among patients. Biological effectiveness depends largely on your existing skin type, biological factors contributing to healing, past exposure to the sun, and overall lifestyle practices. A comprehensive clinical evaluation is required prior to treatment.
